First day of preschool

Matthew started his second year of preschool after Labor Day. I took these pictures on his first day. There are pictures of him, his new shoes, and one with the head teacher at his school, "Mrs. Sue."

Worn out from the zoo

I love this picture! They had such a great time that day, but they were so worn out from all the fun. They fell asleep almost as soon as we started home.

Matthew's gator experience

Here's Matthew with the alligator at the zoo. Some of you have heard this story already. We went to the Nashville Zoo, and Matthew had quite an experience with this alligator. It swam right up to Matthew and snapped at him viciously through the glass. Everyone around us was excited to see such a thing, but poor little Matthew was scared to death! Later in the day (and further away from the gator), Matthew got braver and wanted to "go get that alligator" and seek revenge.

Ready to play soccer . . .

Here's a picture of Matthew getting ready to go to his first soccer game this year. I think he had more fun sporting the uniform than actually kicking the ball. He had a good time, though. He got better throughout the season, too.
